Tyler, Texas is the Rose Capital of America.  And each October is Rose Season in Tyler where visitors from all over come to enjoy the many festivities and the annual Texas Rose Festival.  While you are here, you won’t want to miss the world-famous Tyler Rose Garden, featuring 14 acres and over 35,000 rose bushes.  Admission to the garden is free, but there is also a museum and gift shop that are a must see while in Tyler.  Fall is not the only time of year to see beautiful flowers around Tyler.  Each spring, the Azalea and Spring Flower Trail opens, traveling 10 miles through residential gardens and historic homes.  So, spring, summer, or fall come enjoy the beauty Tyler has to offer.

Lakes…

For your boating and fishing fun, there are over 30 lakes in the East Texas section of the Piney Woods offering a variety of outdoor activities.  The area is known for world-class fishing and there are fishing tournaments almost every weekend.  There are also several marinas with public access boat ramps, boat and kayak rentals, and day access for swimming and relaxing on the water.  When you stay at We RV Champions, you are 15 minutes from Lake Palestine and conveniently located to other great lakes in the area, and we have ample parking for your boat.

Antiques, swap shops, and boutiques – yes, Tyler has them!  Downtown businesses and attractions are bursting with things to do the Second Saturday of each month.  And, just 30 minutes straight down state highway 64 W from We RV Champions, the City of Canton puts on First Monday Trade Days each month.  What began in the 1850’s, has become home to some of the most exciting, cutting-edge home furnishings, antiques and collectibles that can be found anywhere.  If you’d like a nice, quiet place to stay while you visit First Monday Trade Days, call us @ (903) 592-6065.

Tyler, Texas offers year-round fun and activities for everyone.  There are several wineries to tour, championship golf courses, and museums to visit.  Caldwell Zoo has over 2,000 animals to see, and Cherokee Trace Wild Animal Park is a 300 acre preserve that is home to over 2 dozen exotic, endangered species.  For the more adventuresome, there are zip line tours, waterparks, and skydiving.  There are museums and parks, movie theaters and the Texas State Railroad will take you on a tour of the Piney Woods on a vintage 1920's train.  Like we said, something for everyone!
